1 Go to the Google Account creation page:

  • On your computer, open a web browser and go to accounts.google.com.

  • Enter your first and last name.

4 Verify your phone number:

3 Enter recovery information:

  • Add a recovery email address and your date of birth and gender. This information helps you recover your account if you forget your password.

5 Agree to the terms:

6 Complete the setup:

  • Click “Next” and follow any additional instructions to complete the setup.

For Android Devices:

1 Open Settings:

  • Go to your device’s Settings app.

2 Add Account:

3 Sign In:

  • Enter your Gmail address and password.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

For iOS Devices:

1 Open Settings:

3 Sign In:

  • If you haven’t already, download the Gmail app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).

2 Open the App:

  • Open the Gmail app and tap Sign in.

3 Add Account:

  • Tap Add account and select Google.
  • Enter your Gmail address and password.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Can you explain how to set up email forwarding in Gmail?

1 Open Gmail Settings:

  • On your computer, open Gmail and log in to your account.
  • Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select See all settings.

2 Navigate to Forwarding and POP/IMAP:

  • Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

3 Add a Forwarding Address:

  • In the “Forwarding” section, click Add a forwarding address.
  • Enter the email address you want to forward your emails to and click Next.
  • Click Proceed and then OK.

     

4 Verify the Forwarding Address:

  • A verification email will be sent to the forwarding address. Open that email and click on the verification link.
  • Alternatively, you can copy the confirmation code from the email and paste it into the verification box in Gmail settings.

5 Enable Forwarding:

  • Return to the Gmail settings page and refresh your browser.
  • In the “Forwarding” section, select Forward a copy of incoming mail to and choose the forwarding address from the dropdown menu.
  • Decide what you want to happen with the Gmail copy of your emails (e.g., keep Gmail’s copy in the inbox, archive Gmail’s copy, etc.).
  • Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Additional Tips:

  • Forward Specific Emails: If you only want to forward certain types of emails, you can create a filter. Go to the search box at the top, click on the down arrow to open search options, enter your criteria, and then click Create filter. Choose Forward it and select the forwarding address.
  • Disable Forwarding: To stop forwarding emails, go back to the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab, select Disable forwarding, and save your changes.
